Complete DESS (aka "Dr Ebbetts") Blue Box Set

A few answers to likely FAQs: 'Magical Mystery Tour' was not officially an album in the UK during the Beatles' recording years; it was issued as a double EP, and therefore was not included in the Blue Box set. It is called the 'Blue Box' (note the graphic above) simply because of the way it was packaged. Many believe these were the best vinyl issues. These are not MFSL sourced - the Blue Box issues were from the original Parlophone (and Apple) sources and mixes. Though a large set, it is not comprehensive - many of the Beatles hit singles were not included on the albums released in the same era. These all appeared in the CD era on the "Past Masters" CDs. I have included "The Beatles Rarities" which was part of the Blue Box set, but was not one of the 2005-2006 DESS issues, however it IS a DESS issue from 2002. The Blue Box is based on the original UK albums catalog, and all of the albums in this set are stereo, except 'Rarities' which is a mix of mono and stereo songs.
